Who is HashtagSpirituality.com? Our team primarily consists of long time life partners Ileana and Dennis with contributions from people we have met on our spiritual journey. Below you can learn a little more about us and in time, we hope to build out more pages to showcase all of the great teachers we have met.

Ileana

Ileana was born into the rich spiritual traditions of Puerto Rico. For generations her family has been blessed with devotion and spritual gifts. From an early age, Ileana had a strong sense of Right and Wrong to guide her on her own journey of understanding.

The foundation of Ileanas path was built upon the Catholic Church, Metaphysics, and Spiritism. Her Mother, Diana Luz, has been and continues to be her primary Spiritual Teacher. It was through the teachings and messages of her Guru that Ileana developed a profound love for the Ascended Masters. St. Germain in particular.

Ileana has dedicated her life to following a path laid before her by the Ascended Masters. Called to give, Ileana began to organize Spiritual Classes in her community. This inspired her to create the Being One Center for Spiritual Studies and Universal Healing, which she is the current CEO.

The Being One Center was founded with the belief that

” All Spiritual Traditions and paths hold Truth and Light”

The goal of Being One is to unite people together in commonality and Oneness. Under the direction of Ileana, Being One has had speakers from over the world to offer their insights and wisdom. It is also a warm, safe, welcoming, and thriving local community of teachers, students, seekers, healers, and lightworkers.

Ileana leads by quiet examples of kindness, often exemplifying the ideals of service through her frequent preparation of meals for others. While she would never give herself the title of a spiritual leader, she has been and continues to be, an inspiration to many.

Dennis (Maruti)

Dennis began questioning his spiritual tradition at an early age. Raised in the Catholic Church the message he always seemed hear was:

“Accept Jesus or suffer in hell.”

But the question arose:

“If God is all-loving and kind, how could he send his children to hell for eternity? Parents can not even punish their own children for more than a few hours, maybe days.

Does God, not love us more than our own parents?”

With that thought, Dennis began to explore the various spiritual paths. First focusing on the Earth-based traditions of old Europe. Then progressing to Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism and Sikhism. After exploring eastern traditions, Dennis was drawn to the yogic path through teachers like Ram Das.

The Yogi journey led Dennis to Mt. Madonna Center in California where he began formal study under Baba Haridass, a beloved spiritual teacher and inspiration to many. It was through MMC that he obtained a Yoga Teacher Certification.

In a moment of devout silent prayer, Baba Haridass called Dennis before him and began to write. (Babaji was a silent monk.) “Your new name is Maruti Nandan.” Maruti Nandan is the name of Hanuman, Dennis’s most beloved representation of God in the Hindu Tradition.

Following his time with Baba Haridass, Dennis began several cross country adventures. He traveled both by hitchhiking and train-hopping and touring with Swami Kenananda. He has also traveled throughout India multiple times. Each Journey has offered a deeper insight into what it means to live a spiritual life.

Maruti currently works as a Registered Nurse Specializing in Acute Psychiatric Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorders.
